Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 June 2026
These terms govern your use of ArchiTool, a software product operated by 01Architecture Ltd (a company registered in England & Wales, "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the tools, you agree to these terms.
1. Account
You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
2. Plans and billing
- Free — no card required, includes 5 Daylight runs per month, the EPW Climate Dashboard, U-Value calculator with the basic library, and the OSM 3D Downloader (geometry only). Usage limits reset on the 1st of each calendar month (UTC).
- Student — Pro features at no cost for verified students. Verification is granted manually after you submit an academic email via our access form. Renewable each academic year.
- Pro — $19 / month or $190 / year, billed via Stripe. Unlimited Daylight runs, full U-Value library, all Pro labs (Sun Path, PV, Water Flow), OSM with full metadata, AI Advisor chat, and clean exports.
- Studio — coming soon, currently a waitlist.
Subscriptions auto-renew. You can cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal; access continues to the end of the current billing period and is not pro-rated.
3. Refunds
Monthly plans: no refunds for partial months. Annual plans: full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not exceeded any free-tier monthly limit. Email us to request a refund.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer or decompile the tools, including (but not limited to) attempting to reconstruct client-side or server-side algorithms, the Rhino-to-Revit geometry classification logic, the curated material libraries, the SI 1045 compliance catalog, the EPW resolution table, or any other proprietary dataset or method accessed through the tools.
- Scrape, mirror, or bulk-extract the contents of any catalog, library, or dataset surfaced through the tools or our APIs. Ordinary interactive use of the picker, calculator, and export features is permitted; programmatic enumeration of catalog entries is not.
- Automate access to the tools or to any
architool.aiAPI endpoint without our written permission. This includes headless browsers, request scripts, and any client other than the official ArchiTool web UI and the official ArchiTool desktop / pyRevit extension distributed by us. - Copy, redistribute, modify, or reverse-engineer the ArchiTool Rhino-to-Revit extension (the pyRevit plugin and its scripts), the
.architoolfile format, or any installer we provide, or use any of them to build a competing or derivative tool. The extension is licensed for use only with the ArchiTool service. - Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, tier gates, monthly quotas, licence checks, watermarks, geographic restrictions, or any other technical access control we apply. Engineering around an HTTP 429, a 403, a licence verification, or a watermark is itself a breach.
- Share or pool account credentials. Each account is for one named individual. Team or studio access is offered under the Studio plan once available; do not use shared logins to multiply seats on Pro.
- Use the AI Advisor to generate content that violates Anthropic's usage policies or any applicable law, or to repeatedly probe its behaviour for the purpose of extracting our system prompts or operational data.
- Resell, redistribute, or relabel exports, reports, or any tool output as if it were your own product or service. You may use outputs in your own consulting deliverables provided you have done the engineering review described in clause 6.
- Submit content that infringes third-party rights, contains malware, or attempts to inject code/prompts intended to alter the behaviour of the tools for other users.
- Resell or sublicense access to the tools to any third party. If you want to give clients access, point them to architool.ai — they can sign up on their own terms.
Detection and enforcement. We monitor API request patterns and may automatically flag, throttle, or terminate accounts that exhibit signatures consistent with the above (e.g. sustained programmatic request rates, unusual user-agent patterns, multi-region access from one account, rapid catalog enumeration). We will, where reasonably possible, contact the account holder before terminating; we are not obliged to do so where the breach is clear or ongoing harm is likely.
Suspension does not entitle the user to a refund. Persistent or willful breach may result in a permanent ban from the service and, where applicable, civil claims for damages.
5. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to the model files you upload and the analyses you produce. You grant us a limited licence to process those files solely to provide the tool's output to you. Model files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers (see Privacy Policy).
The ArchiTool software, brand, design, and documentation remain the property of 01Architecture Ltd. Nothing in these terms transfers IP to you.
6. Advisory only — not stamped engineering
ArchiTool produces estimates based on simplified physics, public standards, and the data you provide. The AI Advisor surfaces interpretations of those estimates in plain English. None of this is a substitute for review by a qualified, accredited consultant (architect, engineer, environmental specialist) on your project.
You agree that any decision to construct, certify, or submit a building based on ArchiTool output is made on your professional judgement, after independent verification, and at your own risk.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of ArchiTool is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, or for losses based on your reliance on advisory output (see clause 6).
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be lawfully limited.
8. Service changes and availability
We may modify or remove features (especially during the v1 launch period). We will give reasonable notice for changes that materially reduce paid-tier value. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability — the tools run on Vercel and depend on third-party APIs.
9. Termination
You can close your account at any time via the customer portal or by emailing us. We can terminate accounts for breach of these terms or for non-payment.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The English courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, save that we may bring proceedings in the country where you reside.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to active accounts at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
