How do I set up levels and get a floor plan for each storey?

✓ Solved — mentor verifiedRevitAsked by a student · 25 Jun 2026

I added levels in the elevation view but some of them don’t show up as floor plans in the Project Browser.

A Level and its floor plan are two different things — drawing a level line doesn’t create a view. Open an elevation, add your levels with Architecture → Level, then go to View → Plan Views → Floor Plan and tick the levels that need plans. Level markers turn blue once they have a view attached; black markers are levels without plans. Remember each Level represents the 0.00 finish floor of that storey. Full steps: Levels floor plans
